On the week beginning Monday 9th May, 2022, the Year 6 children will be sitting end of Key Stage 2 assessment tests, which are often referred to as 'SATS'.
The children will sit 6 test papers throughout the week:
- A reading test paper
- A spelling test paper
- A punctuation and grammar test paper
- 3 maths papers - one arithmetic test paper, and 2 reasoning test papers.
Further information about the Year 6 children's SATS week can be seen on the PowerPoint below. I will also be adding useful resources to this website page so that children can practice the key skills and revise their knowledge at home closer to the time.
If you or your children have any questions or concerns regarding SATS, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will be happy to help. Feel free to come and see me at the end of a school day, arrange a phone call, or email me using on the email address below.
I know the run up to SATS and the testing week itself can be very stressful for the children, so please reassure them that there is nothing to worry about and that all that is asked is that they try their best.
