Children living in Friston, Aldringham and Thorpeness are entitled to free transport to and from school – up to Year 3. Years 4, 5 and 6 children living en route may be entitled to travel by taxi by paying a concessionary fare. Information is available from Education Transport Service, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich.

If you do not wish your child to travel on the bus then please let us know by letter with your arrangements for their collection.

Cycling.

We have a good range of cycle storage for the children to use. Please help to keep everyone safe by walking cycles across the playground.

Walking.

We do encourage children to walk to school whenever possible. A school crossing patrol presently operates from 8.15am and 3.15pm daily on the main road through Knodishall.

Car.

Please keep the bus bay free. Please be considerate of pedestrians and residents in Judith Avenue. Do not park or turn in the school drive. Please do not park on or mount the pavements.

Public Transport:

Border Bus service 521 (Halesworth-Saxmundham-Leiston-Aldeburgh): Nearest stop Knodishall Butcher's Arms.

Currently runs four times per day, connecting with trains at Saxmundham and Darsham stations.
